Jesus, Friend of Sinners
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Calgary helping my son and daughter-in-law work on their recently acquired home. It’s in a neighbourhood filled with drugs, crime, and many “sinners.” They actually moved there in obedience to the promptings of Jesus to reach out to their neighbourhood.

As we drove down the back alley my son suddenly stopped his vehicle and got out to check on three people who were sprawled out behind a garage. I was shocked and upset by their appearance. However my son calmly checked on them, made sure their lives were not in danger due to overdose, and then got back in his car and carried on. It was evident that my son was comfortable around "sinners."
