When it comes to agriculture stories which will have a ripple far into the future we might today immediately think of US president Donald Trump. But while his seeming never-ending near childish rants where he tosses tariffs around like he is some omniscient leader remain disruptive today, we can hope he disappears as long as free elections happen south of the border. Yes Trump is a threat to such elections, but one hopes that is a line Americans will not even let Trump cross.
