REGINA — Carla Beck’s team is wasting no time to deliver change, opening candidate applications more than 30 months before the next expected provincial election.
The announcement came over the weekend as the Saskatchewan NDP held its first Provincial Council meeting ever in White City.
“We aren’t going to waste one second — this coming election is too important,” Beck told party members. “We’re doing the work and we’re making sure the people of Saskatchewan know that they have a choice.
“We’re giving people hope. The incredible people I meet each and every day reinforce for me that not only is change possible, it’s on the way.”
Prospective candidates can email Candidate@SaskNDP.ca for more information. Beck intends to begin formally nominating candidates as early as May.
“We want people to step forward that love this province, that see the potential in every corner of it and that want to work relentlessly with us to deliver on what matters to Saskatchewan people,” Beck said.
Beck also recently named a Campaign Director and the Saskatchewan NDP has established an Election Planning Committee made up of members from a variety of backgrounds to give advice as her team puts forward their plan for change in Saskatchewan.
