Fall camping offerings announced in saskatchewan provincial parks

Fall camping reservations are now open for stays across Saskatchewan Provincial Parks from now until the end of October. "Spending time in our provincial parks during the fall offers a boost to your wellbeing," Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Alana Ross said. "With fewer crowds and beautiful fall colours, residents can unwind, recharge, and enjoy the best of the season in the parks."

In many provincial parks access to amenities such as electricity and water will be available until the end of September. As the camping season progresses into October, many parks will continue offering camping, with opportunities to experience peak fall colours and enjoy quieter campgrounds. Campers should note that services will be limited at this time. Each campsite's available amenities, such as electricity, water, or toilets, will be indicated on the website.

In October visitors can reserve a campsite online at 11 provincial parks: Blackstrap Provincial Park, Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, Duck Mountain Provincial Park, Echo Valley Provincial Park, Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park, Great Blue Heron Provincial Park (until Oct. 12), Greenwater Lake Provincial Park, Moose Mountain Provincial Park, Pike Lake Provincial Park, Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park, and Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park.

For campers who are looking for additional convenience, Camp-Easy Yurts are available at Buffalo Pound, Douglas, Duck Mountain, Echo Valley, Good Spirit Lake, Greenwater Lake, and Rowan's Ravine Provincial Parks. These yurts sleep up to six people and provide six camp chairs, a fire pit, picnic table, outdoor dining shelter, fridge, ceiling fan, space heater, camp stove or barbecue with propane, roasting sticks, wash bin and an axe. Camp-Easy Yurt rates differ from regular campsite rates. Visitors can check the reservation website for current pricing and availability.

Regular nightly camping rates apply throughout September. Beginning October 1, reduced nightly rates take effect to reflect limited services available. Rates beginning October 1: Electric Sites: $31 per night. Non-Electric Sites: $16 per night.
