Proactive warrant execution leads to nine arrests by Punnichy RCMP
Punnichy RCMP arrested nine individuals on outstanding warrants as a result of a proactive police operation.

On February 15, 2026, Punnichy RCMP simultaneously executed nine arrest warrants across multiple locations. RCMP officers executed the warrants as a part of ongoing work to find and arrest people wanted by the courts. During the coordinated operation, officers arrested nine people who had more than 30 outstanding charges in total.

“Arresting wanted individuals reduces the risk to the public and ultimately leads to safer communities,” says S/Sgt Nathan Rondeau, Punnichy RCMP detachment commander. “This was a proactive, coordinated effort by our officers. I'm proud of the initiative and dedication they've shown.”
The individuals arrested were wanted for a range of offences, including:
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon
- Uttering threats
- Mischief
- Breach of probation
- Failure to appear; and
- Failure to comply with probation
Four individuals were held in police custody until their scheduled court appearance, and the other five were released with orders to appear in Punnichy Provincial Court.
