Punnichy RCMP investigating fatal collision
On December 7, 2025, at approximately 8:25 p.m., Punnichy RCMP received a report of a collision involving a train near Semans, SK.
2025-12-08 - 4:01 p.m.
Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined a train and a pick-up truck collided on an off-road portion of the train track.
The driver of the pick-up truck was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. She has been identified as a 63-year-old female from the Punnichy RCMP detachment area. Her family has been notified.
No injuries were reported by the train’s staff.
Saskatchewan RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist and CN Police.
