RM of McKillop No. 220 Public Notice – Zoning Bylaw Amendments

Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Rural Municipality (RM) of McKillop No. 220 intends to consider adoption of two bylaws under The Planning and Development Act, 2007; a proposed amendment to Bylaw No. 376/2019, known as the Zoning Bylaw (ZB).  

INTENT:  The proposed ZB amendment (No. 466-2026) would rezone the proposed Parcel A within SW ¼, Sec. 24-24-21-W2Mer, from AR1 – Agricultural/Resource 1 District to CR1 – Country Residential 1 District. Additionally, the proposed ZB amendment (No. 468-2026) would rezone the proposed Parcel A within NE ¼, Sec. 35-23-22-W2Mer, from AR1 – Agricultural/Resources 1 District to CR1 – Country Residential 1 District. 

AFFECTED LAND:  The affected lands are SW ¼, Sec. 24-24-21-W2Mer, and the Proposed Quarter Section lies East from the Town of Strasbourg. Additionally, the affected lands are NE ¼, Sec. 35-23-22-W2Mer, and the Proposed Parcel A. This Quarter Section lies West of the Village of Bulyea. 

REASON:  The landowners have made applications to the subdivision approving authority (Community Planning branch, Government Relations) to subdivide a portion of their subject land to accommodate a proposed residential Parcel.  

PUBLIC INSPECTION:  Any person may inspect the bylaws at the RM of McKillop No. 220 office during regular office hours, excluding statutory holidays.  Digital copy of the proposed bylaws are available here for public viewing: https://rmofmckillop220.com/p/local-notices . Draft copies of the proposed bylaws are also available from the RM office; hard copies at cost. The RM office is located at 103 Ashley Street, Bulyea, SK (S0G 0L0; PO Box 220).   

PUBLIC HEARING:  Council will hold a public hearing in council chambers on June 16, 2026, beginning at 10:15AM, to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws.  The deadline for receipt of written comments and requests for representation at the meeting must be received by the RM office by June 12, 2026.
