The annual Threshermen’s Show & Seniors’ Festival was held over the weekend in Yorkton, and once more the long-running event was fascinating. While the audience for the show is not what it once was it probably should in fact be larger today. People always seem to be looking for a different experience in their travels these days, and that is what this event is, a different experience. It really is an opportunity to step back in time – 100 years or more – and get a very real sense of the agriculture techniques which laid the foundation for the Canadian Prairies.
