Key points from this story:
- Trump disruptive to Canada-U.S. relations
- Trump tariff tantrums affect global trade
- U.S. system concentrates power in one person
- Canada needs diverse trade partners
- EU raised possible associate membership
- Canpotex invests $500 million in Neptune
Ditto Trump's tariff tantrums causing chaos in trade around the world. But in all the disruption Trump sends a message - not one he probably realizes - that the U.S. system puts too much power in the hands of one person, and when that person is prone to tantrums and worse if things do not go their way, relationships can become strained, if not damaged for decades.
