Village of Bethune - Zoning Bylaw Amendment

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Village of Bethune (Village) intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 2-90 known as the Zoning Bylaw.
THE PURPOSE AND INTENT The proposed bylaw aims to clearly distinguish between mobile homes and other forms of factory-built housing, and to prohibit mobile homes as a use within the Village. The amendment also enables modular, manufactured, and ready-to-move homes as permitted residential forms, subject to development standards intended to ensure permanent construction compatibility with surrounding development.
THE LANDS AFFECTED by the proposed bylaw amendment are all those areas within the corporate boundaries of the Village.
PUBLIC INSPECTION of the bylaw amendment can take place at the Village, located at 101 Railway Avenue, Bethune, Saskatchewan. These documents may be examined by any person without payment of fees between 9:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
Copies of the documents may be obtained from the Village office. Any questions about these documents can be directed to the Village Office.
A PUBLIC HEARING for Council to hear all submissions respecting the bylaw amendment will take place on January 13th, 2026 at 7:15pm in the Village Council Chambers.
Council will hear all persons who are present at the meeting and wish to speak to this matter. They will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned on or before January 13th, 2026.
