There are two trends among consumers which seem, at least on the surface to be near opposites, organic food demand, and meat replacements. Now in no way am I a chemistry expert, but I do understand that getting plant protein to taste like and even look like the meat it replaces, it takes a mix of things which will typically include a few unpronounceable chemicals. That does not mean the products are not good to eat for those so inclined as there are rules and regulations regarding food production designed to keep us all as safe as current science allows.
