Dear Residents of Nokomis and Surrounding Communities, 

For many years, it has been our privilege to serve as your local healthcare partner. We are writing to you today to share some news regarding the future of our physical location. Due to a combination of persistent staffing challenges, evolving professional college requirements, and decreased local physician hours,  we have made the difficult decision to close the Nokomis pharmacy location on May 15, 2026. The liquor and convenience store will remain open and serve as a pickup site for your prescriptions in the future. 

While our Pharmacy is closing, our commitment to your health and well-being remains as strong as ever.  We have developed a plan to ensure you continue to receive the medications and professional care you depend on without interruption.

Continued Care Through Lanigan and Strasbourg 

We are pleased to announce that your pharmacy services will transition to our sister locations, Lanigan  Pharmacy or Strasbourg Pharmacy. Our teams at these locations already have deep roots in the region and are prepared to manage your prescriptions and healthcare needs with the same care and accuracy you expect. 

New Prescription Depot in Nokomis 

To ensure that travel does not become a barrier to your health, we are establishing a dedicated prescription depot right here in Nokomis, at the same location. 

• How it works: You can continue to order your medications as usual. 
• Pickup: Your filled prescriptions will be securely transported to the Nokomis depot for convenient local pickup. 
• Timing: We will provide specific details regarding delivery and pick-up hours in the coming weeks. 

Modern Tools for Easier Refills 

To make this transition even smoother, we encourage you to use the TELUS PharmaConnect app. This  free tool allows you to request refills directly from your smartphone, view your medication history, and  receive notifications when your prescriptions are ready for pick up or delivery to the depot. 

We understand that change can be unsettling, especially when it concerns your healthcare. Please rest assured that we are doing everything possible to make this transition seamless. We are incredibly grateful for the support and loyalty the Nokomis community has shown us over the years.
