PUBLIC NOTICE

Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Lumsden intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 15-2002, known as the Zoning Bylaw. 

INTENT AND REASON

Bylaw No. 2026-03 proposes to amend the Zoning Bylaw Map by rezoning Lot 7, Block 2, Plan C2386, from the R1 – Residential District to the R2 – Residential Multiple District, as shown outlined in the bold dashed line below.

AFFECTED LANDS

Only Lot 7, Block 2, Plan C2386 is affected.  The parcel is located in the southwest corner of the intersection of James Street North and Eighth (8th) Avenue.    

PUBLIC INSPECTION

Any person may inspect the bylaw online at www.lumsden.ca under “Public Notices” or at the Lumsden Municipal Office, located at 300 James Street North, in the Town of Lumsden, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM (open through the noon hour) from Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.  Copies are available at cost.  

PUBLIC HEARING

Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Lumsden Municipal Office located at 300 James Street North in Lumsden. You may attend virtually, via Zoom (meeting 291 261 3627). Council will consider submissions, written or verbal, regarding the proposed bylaw, which are delivered to the municipal office before the Hearing.
