Townhall turnout Represents ‘Critical Mass’ says Mayor
On March 13th, a Townhall meeting was held in Nokomis to discuss the community's future.

Catherine Gyrba facilitated the meeting, which included opening and closing remarks from Nokomis Mayor David Mark, a BHP project update, and a presentation by Flexnetworks. Due to a scheduling conflict, the presentation from George Gordon Development Corporation was cancelled until further notice. At the end of the evening, community members posed questions and provided feedback.
The Mayor's opening statement stressed the importance of an open mind and optimism about Nokomis's opportunities. He warned against the dangers of a defensive mindset within a community.
